Learning to drive may be a struggle for some.
For parents with those who can get a little nervous when "tailgated" or take a little longer when the light
turns green; new driver's signs could help.
Studies have shown that drivers with vehicles equipped with new driver's signs experience less anxiety.
Surrounding drivers that see the "New Driver - Please Be Patient" signs have more patience which results in
fewer honks, and more space left behind.
In BC, learner drivers are required to display the official red L sign provided free by ICBC. Many BC learner drivers also choose to display additional New Driver's signs to further alert surrounding drivers and reduce stress behind the wheel.
